Assists the faculty member with conducting research in theoretical physics, specifically in the area of ultracold atomtronic systems; solves Gross–Pitaevskii equations; interprets results; reviews data of recent experiments.
Shift Specifics: 25 hours per week; flexible with class schedule.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Minimum Education Required
Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University; successful completion of PHYS 3536 (Modern Physics I) and PHYS 3537 (Modern Physics II), or equivalent courses, with a grade of “B” or better.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of the background investigation process prior to employment.
$15.00 per hour
