Specialist, Accounts Payable Data Entry – USA Job Vacancy
The Accounts Payable Clerk is primarily responsibility for collecting, processing and maintaining all accounts payable records, for all company markets. This position is also responsible for processing invoices and researching accounts payable issues that arise.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible keeping accurate monthly log of AP records.
Posts invoices in the computer.
Researches vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
Verifies invoices to receiving documents.
Acts as a liaison between corporate accounting and various vendors, markets and associates.
Inputs and maintains vendors in the accounts payable system.
Maintains records for all accounts payable transactions.
Assists in monthly closings.
Performs filing as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned
Physical and Mental Demands
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of five years of experience in accounts payable.
Great Plains experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to use a personal computer and advanced working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software systems.
Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, and copier.
Ability to perform advanced mathematical and accounting functions.
Ability to follow and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
