The opportunity

As such, we are currently seeking a customer-centric Work Injury Damages Specialist to join our growing team based either in Parramatta or Newcastle with additional flexibility offered where needed!

Within this role, you will support both your worker and agency to navigate the complexities of workers compensation while working with the agency and legal providers to achieve a resolution to the claim, by drawing on your exceptional customer service and decision-making skills. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of Work Injury Damages claims

Supporting the injury management and treatment for your workers

Supporting your workers to prepare for the transition off the workers compensation system

Conducting independent Case Reviews for each case to plan, develop and execute strategies

Ensuring claims are managed in accordance with company standards and the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act

Delivering excellent customer service to key stakeholders from multiple backgrounds.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
A service-orientated approach that allows you to deal with difficult customers confidently and empathetically

A high degree of influencing skill partnered with strong written and verbal communication skills

Developed time management skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Professional experience in Workers Compensation in either an insurance or employer-based organisation.
