A little bit about the role

Be a part of our passionate Depot Team as the Waste Contracts Officer. You will be responsible for the contract management of waste contracts and ensuring compliance of contract conditions for all of our waste and recycling services .

What are we looking for?

You will have an eye for detail and data, able to oversee all administrative functions of our waste and recycling contract requirements. With strong communication skills including public speaking, writing reports and the ability to negotiate whilst communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. You have a strong knowledge of tender processes and can analyse and report on weekly and monthly statistical waste data.

Your experience in financial management and reporting will enable you to manage work plans, investigate and resolve waste related service delivery issues to ensure waste services are delivered in accordance with Council’s Waste Management Strategy.

You are customer focused and passionate in your field of expertise, ready to be a part of the Facilities, Waste & Infrastructure team to help build a great city for its residents, businesses and visitors.

Qualifications and Employment Requirements

Degree or Diploma or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience in managing waste contracts
A demonstrated knowledge of waste management practices and principles
Computer literacy across all Microsoft Office programs, GIS and asset systems is desirable
Experience in developing and implementing a range of OH&S systems
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
