It is in this context that we are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join us as a Vetting Officer for a 12-month contract. If successful, you will be joining a small, experienced team, with a focus on collaboration and supporting our advisers to deliver best interest outcomes for their clients.
Within the IOOF Advice Vetting team, you will provide vetting support to both salaried and self-employed advisers across our various licensees, being Bridges, Consultum, Lonsdale, Millennium3, RetireInvest and Shadforth. You will be working with advisers who are either new to one of our licensees or those who require additional support post an audit review.
Pre-vetting of advice documents (both SoAs and RoAs) and the supporting files
Providing comprehensive feedback and coaching to advisers to assist them with meeting licensee and legislative requirements
Developing relationships with licensee management and advisers through service delivery
Collaborating within the team to ensure consistency and continued improvement in relation to internal tools and processes
Collaborating with the wider Advice Governance team and external contractors
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive manner and deal with difficult conversations
Solid understanding of financial services legislative requirements, including FASEA
Previous experience as a Vetting Officer / Auditor or in a similar role (minimum 3 years)
RG146 compliance or a Diploma of Financial Planning as minimum. Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and/or a tertiary qualification in a finance discipline is preferred.
Ability to use initiative and judgement in problem solving situations
Committed to delivering exceptional customer service
Previous experience with XPLAN and/or Salesforce advantageous
