What you will be doing and will be responsible for:
The Training and Skills Coordinator, is responsible for the planning and delivery of learning and development projects to support job seekers to increase their job readiness. This role will support all learning and development activities including the facilitation of face to face and online training, learning and development of activities, content and presentations, and development of training aids and materials. Learning support will be delivered in both group settings and one on one facilitation. This role will have a reporting requirement and will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
Developing and delivering monthly training programs in consultation with the Learning and Development Manager.
Facilitating face to face and online training weekly.
Evaluating and reporting on the outcomes and suggest areas of improvement.
Identifying and referring job seekers into suitable employment programs.
Deliver learning and development activities to support an inclusion agenda in working with diverse job seekers.
Facilitating training workshops, presentations and community events.
Development of learning materials, tip sheets and tools.
Contributing to the curriculum development through research and consultation.
Actively support and contribute to the organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
Prioritise the care and wellbeing of job seekers through advice, support and coaching to reduce the barriers of entry into employment.
General Administration and Reporting.

2 years minimum prior proven experience in facilitation and training (accredited or non-accredited training).
Experience in education and training, employment or community services sector.
Ability to work with limited supervision and proven initiative, drive and an ability to work independently.
Previous experience in a similar project or program coordination role within a professional organisation.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback in an objective and supportive way.
Professional but relatable demeanour with excellent public speaking skills.
The ability to manage multiple tasks in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
An energetic, punctual and team focused approach to your work.
A flexible work ethic during busy periods.
Sound written and verbal communications skills.
Excellent digital skills including online training platforms, proficiency in using current MS Office, Google Docs, and general communication technologies.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of culturally appropriate and sensitive services to vulnerable communities.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours.
High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to quality customer/client services and continuous improvement strategies.
A tertiary qualification in Education, Teaching or Cert III in Training and Assessment highly regarded.
Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
National Police Clearance.
DCSI clearance (Working with Children).
Ability to work from multiple sites as required this may include interstate and intra-state travel.
