- The rate includes a 20% loading for working unusual hours including outside normal business hours and weekend work. (0-38 hours per week as per a roster)

How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
As a Tourism Operations Supervisor, you will perform an essential frontline role applying your tourism and supervisory experience to a number of established visitor service programs. They are the Melbourne Visitor Hub at Town Hall, the Melbourne Visitor Booth, Bourke Street Mall, Fitzroy Gardens Visitor Centre and Queen Victoria Market Visitor Hub. Your agility and responsive work approach will see you action operational and administrative activities, but most importantly – deliver a welcoming service to visitors to Melbourne.
In this role you will be responsible for providing Melbourne and Regional Victoria information to visitors, as well as assisting to supervise tourism volunteers returning to their roles. You will have proven ability to lead, develop and motivate the team whilst ensuring an exceptional customer service experience for our visitors.

Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
Experience in working in a tourism role, in particular, visitor information/ major attraction or similar environment.
Proven ability to work as part of a team and to use initiative to enhance the work of the team.
Experience in the development and supervision of volunteers and staff.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.
Competent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Sound product knowledge of Melbourne and Regional Victoria and the tourism industry.
