Social Media Coordinator job for Higher Education client in Melbourne CBD. Rolling temporary contract. $50/hr

This university client has an outstanding national and global reputation within higher education. They are actively seeking an experienced Social Media Coordinator for an immediate start. This Melbourne job will be for one month initially with high likelihood of continued month to month extension over the coming months.
Your new role
The expectation is that the role will be work from home until advised otherwise, with a decision on returning to the office and at what capacity anticipated over the coming weeks. On returning to the office, you would be based in Melbourne CBD. Your daily responsibilities will be diverse and broad-ranging and will include;
Managing social media channels and replying to comments on university accounts, monitoring tweets and retweets etc.
Content and copywriting: Finding articles and content relative to the various faculty schools and drafting copy and posting on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
Managing Facebook advertising campaigns from strategy and commencement through to completion and post-campaign analytics.
Editing snippets of podcasts and creating an audiogram, adding subtitles etc.
Monitoring the reach of the university on social media by posts outside of the universities own content using Meltwater
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have;
Excellent prior experience managing and developing a range of content social media platforms for a large, complex organisation, preferable within higher education.
Excellent content writing and copywriting skills as well as solid editorial judgement capabilities
High-level video editing and design capabilities: Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Photoshop experience will be essential.
DSLR camera operation skills are highly desirable
Further software experience across the likes of Sprout Social, Meltwater, Canva, Headliner and Wave will be looked on very favourably.
Furthermore, the selected candidate must be currently residing in Victoria and have full working rights to be considered for this job.
What you’ll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly reputable university. The position offers an hourly rate of $50 plus superannuation and will be full-time, 38 hours per week.
