About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bushfire Risk Team in the Bushfire Risk and Evaluation Unit as a Project Officer. The Bushfire Risk and Evaluation Unit, established in response to 2019-20 bushfire season, leads the NPWS team responsible for the development and implementation of the environmental and cultural risk assessment processes required to assess and measure impacts from future bushfires. The Bushfire Risk Team leads cross-agency engagement and collaboration with NSW Rural Fire Service and key internal partners within DPIE to deliver the NPWS component of the revised NSW Bushfire Risk Assessment framework.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Ability to support and undertake complex quantitative bushfire modelling and assessments
- Experience or ability to plan and facilitate workshops that facilitate engagement with key stakeholders
