The Azure Global Commercial Industry team is looking for an experienced leader who can support a growing team of Program Managers to drive end-to-end success with Microsoft’s strategic customers and partners. In this cross-functional role, you will support a talented group of Program Managers and collaborate directly with top industry customers and a diverse set of stakeholders across Microsoft to shape the Azure platform, drive FSI specific features, serve customers and transform the industry. You will need to recruit, hire and invest in the people on your team and help them develop and grow to meet our dynamic business challenges and embody our core Microsoft values of respect, accountability, and integrity.

You should have a passion for understanding customer requirements and develop a broad and deep understanding of our technical architecture and evolve business strategy; including, how our industry portfolio integrates with Microsoft’s entire platform. You will need to understand the challenges that affect regulated industries on a global scale and help design the technology and adoption approach that accelerates a new generation of transformation for FSI. This team is tackling challenging engineering and business problems directly with customers and within the broader Azure organization – our work has high visibility with the Microsoft senior leadership team and many opportunities to share our successes and receive support and guidance. More specifically, you will:

Support a growing team of Program Managers using Microsoft’s model, coach, care best practices while being invested in every team member’s growth and success.
Create clarity for the team, motivate them, and effectively prioritize the team’s work to deliver results.
Develop and execute on long-range planning and the team’s core objectives and key results.
Communicate product and business strategy and how the team’s work aligns to broader goals.
Work directly with customers to understand their business requirements and help them make decisions related to their product investments in the Azure platform. You will take ownership of customer dissatisfaction on behalf of Microsoft and work to find a path to resolution, earning customer trust in the process.
Maintain strong partnerships with senior leaders across a wide array of disciplines and teams.
Have a drive to create and improve a world-class system to ensure we have the right capacity available in the right places at the right time. This role requires someone who can constantly anticipate the customer needs across future horizons and ensure we are building to be ready.
This is a role with customer interaction supporting a global customer base and monthly travel is expected.


Minimum qualifications:
10+ years of Program/Technical Product Management experience
Excellent cross-discipline leadership, collaboration and influencing skills. Lead, drive change and influence without authority across groups and executives
Ability to build relationships with, and influence, external customers and partners
Experience with building services on Azure or other cloud services
Experience defining, measuring, innovating and driving change in large-scale software products and systems
Ability to concisely frame problems, design simple solutions and make decisions based on data and metrics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate business problems, alternatives, and product strategy
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred qualifications:
3+ managing teams of 5 of more people including growing Senior/Principal level talent
Experience in financial services or related fields
