Short Description

Pool Lifeguards at Noble Park Aquatic Centre take on a much greater responsibility than simply supervising water space. As well as identifying potential risk factors & taking steps to reduce those risks, lifeguards will act as positive role models in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities.

Successful lifeguards will be able to provide the highest level of supervision whilst maintaining a fun and safe environment for all.

Staff must be available to work a variety of shifts including a minimum of two-weekend shifts per month,

This position is available in both a part-time and casual capacity.

About the Centre

The YMCA in partnership with Greater Dandenong City Council are working together to deliver the vision for the community.

Noble Park Aquatic Centre – Is a quality multi-purpose aquatic, recreation, and community centre which opened in February 2012. Located at Ross Reserve Noble Park the centre provides swimming lessons and events that cater for the local community. It features a 51.5 metre heated outdoor pool, water slide, indoor leisure pool, splash park area and a café.

Punctual in both attendance on shift and attendance at staff meetings

Qualifications

Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications

HLTAID003 Apply first aid or equivalent
HLTAID001 Perform CPR or equivalent
AQ Lifeguard Certificate

  • a national criminal history check
  • an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas
  • holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance/ equivalent in accordance with state/ territory laws
  • ACF Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (completion online prior to commencement)
  • Two reference checks
