In this role, you will work closely with the Pathways and Vocational Education (PAVE) teaching departments, providing knowledge and skills to support Swinburne’s commitment to the delivery of high quality training and assessment practices and ensure compliance with the regulatory frameworks and government funding agreement.
Located within Business Services and Quality (PAVE), this role reports to the Manager, VE Quality and Business Improvement, to promote and facilitate a quality culture. You will be a part of the VE Quality and Policy team with responsibility for the implementation of systematic and strategic approaches to education and quality across PAVE. As such, your role will be geared towards supporting the teaching departments to delvier high-quality education. In doing so, your contribution will assist the university in achieiving its 2025 vision to become a leading university of science, technology and innovation.
Please note that this role is being offered as a full time fixed-term position up to December 2022.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training – TAE 40116 (Certification IV Training & Assessment) or equivalent
- A sound understanding of VET quality and policy requirements and specialist knowledge of relevant regulatory and funding body requirements and their implications for the University
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels both internal and external to the University with professionalism and appreciation of sensitive issues
- Excellent organisational and proven time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines; prioritise activities, manage competing priorities and to respond to ad hoc and time critical deadlines
