A rewarding opportunity currently exists for a Pastoral Care Associate to join St Vincent’s Care Services at Bronte.
We are looking for a compassionate, spiritual and professional person to work with the Facility Manager and care team to respond effectively to the diverse emotional, spiritual and religious needs of our residents, and their families. Applicants must have a sound understanding of our Mission and a genuine commitment to the service of the aged, vulnerable and poor.
As a Pastoral Care Associate, you will take a lead role honouring this legacy and in nurturing the commitment of all to the mission and values of St Vincent’s Care Services.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
Attainment or progress towards a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification and/ or studies in Theology/Religious Education, Counselling/Psychology;
Relevant experience in a similar pastoral or counselling capacity (highly regarded);
Competent technology and computer skills;
Ability to build rapport, trust, empathy, or strong relationships;
Ability to work with minimum supervision;
Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions.
