A permanent full time opportunity has become available for a Parking Officer to join the City of Parramatta. As a Parking Officer you will take pride in monitoring compliance, education and enforcing parking requirements within the Parramatta LGA, which can include both public and private car parks.
This position ensures members of the community comply with the provisions of various pieces of legislation including the Road Rules 2014 the Local Government Act 1993 and the Impounding Act 1997. In addition, your role will be complemented with high profile patrols of Council owned public areas, again ensuring public safety and compliance within the Local Government Area. You will be supported with uniform, equipment and technology to assist you in completing your role requirements. The Parking Officer will take necessary action to achieve compliance through education, enforcement and the issuing of Penalty Infringement Notices and Cautions. Training will be provided on technology utilised in the field.
We are looking for a person with:

- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to deal with customers at all levels in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Proven communication skills both written and verbal including problem solving and decision making skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Current open driver’s licence
- Experience using the current technologies available to the compliance industry such as PDAs ideal however not necessary.
The successful applicant will hold a current NSW Class C or P2 Drivers Licence, you will need to have the ability to multi task and deliver all service expectations required. Rosters will be a Seven (7) day roster (40-hour week including 2-hour RDO Accrual) each shift comprises of eight (8) hours within the hours of 5:00am – 10:00pm as per the award.
