Experience working for a Specialist or Surgeon

Work around other commitments in this part time role – 3 days a week – Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays on the lower north shore. Provide high level reception and administration support to a well established surgeon.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering calls and making bookings
Dealing with patient enquiries
Liaising with medical practitioners regarding admissions
Ordering stock, medical supplies and stationery requirements
Billing of patients for consultations and any other services
Keeping basic accounting records up to date on MYOB
Typing correspondence
Entering payment details into Excel
Keeping patient records up to date on the Database
Using the Genie system to record information
Performing other ad hoc duties as required

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Previous reception and administration experience in a medical environment – minimum of 2 years required
Must have worked for a Medical Specialist/Surgeon
Knowledge of the Genie system required
Excellent communication skills and customer service focused
Ability to prioritise and multi-task
Reliable and dependable and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
