Midwest Area Mental Health Service is part of Northwestern Mental Health at RMH which is the largest public mental health provider in Victoria. We provide mental health services to consumers in the north and western metropolitan areas of Melboune.
Your new team
You will be leading a team of experienced team members to deliver mental health services to consumers in the new Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department which will consist of a crisis hub and Behavioural Assessment Unit.
You will be working with the HOPE team for service development and quality improvement
You will be working with our partner provider, Wellways to provide care for consumers in our PARC facility
Your success in this role, will be in your ability to
Effective use of a broad range of skills to communicate in a person-centred manner with key stakeholders to ensure the provision of high quality services
Coordinate care planning across a range of services
Maintain strategic relationships with our stakeholders and key partners such as Western Health
Provide leadership and strategic direction to your clinical teams
Encourage and support positive workplace culture, enable workforce development and delivery of contemporary evidence based programs
Excellent people management skills with ability to successfully manage, coach, mentor and develop individuals who contribute to forming, flexible, resilient and effective teams
High level skills in conceptual and systems thinking including successful application of innovative approaches and the ability to influence change in work practices as required
High level verbal and written communications skills including negotiation skills and ability to resolve conflicts, competing demands and prioritizing resources.
