Library Officer (0.5 EFT), Monash Public Library Service, City of Monash
Fixed Term Role, $58,909 – $63,712 p/a, plus superannuation

Part time – 70 hours per 4 week roster

Are you looking for employment that allows yo u to showcase your customer service skills and passion for public libraries? We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to undertake the role of part time Library Officer for a fixed term (10 May 2021 to 25 February 2022) based at the Wheelers Hill Library. This is a position linked to a return to work maternity arrangement.

Library Officers at Monash Public Library Service enjoy customer service, problem solving, and have great computer and digital literacy skills. They work on the front line engaging with our diverse community and assist with program delivery.

If you have

High level customer service skills

Resilience and a positive attitude, especially within a team environment

Sound computer and digital literacy skills

Public library experience or other library front line experience

Excellent time management skills

A minimum of Year 12 education

A current driver’s license

Adequate fitness to bend, lift, squat and carry loads

Ability to speak a language or languages other than English is advantageous.

The successful applicant will be required to work rostered desk shifts at all six branches on weekdays, up to one evening per week and weekends, which includes Saturdays & Sundays, according to the requirements of the roster. Salary is in the range $58,909 – $63,712 pa pro-rata (Band 3) depending on skills and experience.
