Exciting new opportunity for an experienced and motivated Legal Personal Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded Melbourne Law Firm and become an integral member of a friendly, supportive and cohesive team.
Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a delightful Partner and their team, you’ll enjoy a varied, and “hands on” on role as well as being involved in diverse and complex matters.
Some of your duties will include, but not be limited to;
diary management and arranging appointments
word processing and dictaphone typing of legal documents and general correspondence
filing and indexing of original legal documents
taking telephone calls and assisting where appropriate with enquiries
assisting with preparation of documents for court hearings
liaising with clients
billing, opening & closing files and general administrative tasks
Skills and experience we’d love….
Previous experience as a Legal Personal Assistant/Secretary in Family Law, (or Litigation), is essential as is a professional attitude, an obliging manner and the demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a pro-active team member. You will also have;
advanced MS Office and typing skills
excellent written and verbal communication skills
the ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
a high level of client service
