About the roles: We are seeking applications from experienced, motivated and values driven legal administration assistants interested in a career at Victoria Legal Aid for two maximum term vacancies in our Family Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS), an ongoing role in our Indictable Crime team and an ongoing role in VLA Chambers.
These roles suit candidates seeking to further develop their experience within the legal sector, who enjoy the day to day challenges of fast-paced environments and excel in providing quality client services to our community.
You will join a supportive and collaborative team providing a wide range of support to our lawyers or case managers. You will assist our clients with general enquiries and work with stakeholders to ensure the needs of our clients are met. You will manage email correspondence, diaries and bookings, maintain our client database and case management systems, triage client enquiries and provide referrals and information about VLA services.
Please note, applications for these roles may be considered for upcoming further vacancies in our admin teams.

About you: You will be experienced in providing administrative support and client services in a complex and sensitive environment, with highly proficient word processing, file management skills and excellent attention to detail. You can effectively prioritise workloads, meet changing deadlines and consistently adapt to improvements that put our client experience first.
You will have highly developed interpersonal skills that will allow you to engage with lawyers, community partners, staff and a diverse range of clients. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to working within collaborative teams that support a culture of care and bring a can-do attitude.
Family, Civil and Criminal law experience will be highly regarded, but candidates with admin experience in any area of law are encouraged to apply.
