About the Role

Aurrum is passionate about person-centred care and our people are committed to delivering a meaningful and caring experience for our residents and their loved ones. We are looking for Laundry Assistants experienced in working in aged care homes. Duties will involve preparing and sorting soiled clothing and cleaning of clothing and linen in accordance with the recommended process for each garment.

The role is critical to providing a safe and welcoming environment for Aurrum residents.

About You

The ideal candidates will have:
Awareness of the work, health and safety standards and compliance regime of residential aged care
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Demonstrated experience working in laundry services in an Aged Care setting
Previous experience in a commercial and high quality cleaning service
Good knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control
Good communication and interpersonal skills
An appreciation and respect for working with the elderly and people from diverse backgrounds
Valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
Influenza Immunisation Certificate for the current year
Valid NDIS Worker Clearance
