About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Laboratory Technician to provide administrative and technical support to the teachers and industry within the Centre of Food Trades and Culinary Arts. You will be responsible for industry product testing in the confectionery and science laboratory facilities and industry workshops. This ongoing role is part time and 22.8 hours per week.
You will need to have:
Previous experience in a similar laboratory environment OR have recently completed your studies and are eager to start your career in the lab experience.
Knowledge of the food and confectionary industries
Ability to work independently or within a team
Eagerness to learn and have a proactive approach to your work
Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a laboratory environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
