Overview

Full-time Monday to Friday 8am-4pm work in our gluten-free bakery. Role will include washing dishes, food prep, cooking, labeling and dating food items, cleaning, heavy lifting, receiving deliveries, stock rotation and assisting the kitchen with all tasks required.

We are seeking a reliable team player that is focused on cleanliness and being time efficient. This is an ongoing roll so full-time work rights are required. We have a friendly team that work hard to produce quality products for our growing customer base.

Experience is required and we will organise an interview and trial for candidates who meet the above criteria.

Commercial Cookery Qualification:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
  • Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
  • Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
  • Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
  • Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises
  • Assist chefs and waitstaff as required, especially during peak hours
  • Escalate major issues where necessary (e.g. safety risks, equipment failure)
  • Other duties as requested
