Overview

We are looking for a part-time Human Resources Specialist as a Contractor or a short-term employee with a fix-term contract of six months to join our HR Services Central team and help support our growing teams globally (with main focus on Australia). This role will be responsible for partnering with assigned client groups on a variety of initiatives relating to; performance management, coaching, employee engagement, employee relations (investigations, communications, and employee development), training, recruiting and culture. You will report directly to the HR Central Lead and will support the HR Central organization on the tactical implementation of business strategy.

Responsibilities

Help to support the complete HR lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding
Partner with HR Business Partners and global HR Central to drive company programs with a sense of pride and commitment
Handle incoming inquiries by employees and managers for Australia and support other regions
Work closely with our external service provider in processing offer letters to new hires
Develop project plans and timelines for assignments; manage projects to completion
Collaborate with other People team members and appropriate business units to recommend, and implement corporate People policies and processes including performance management, employee development, organizational development, recognition, and compensation
Collaborate with Recruiting team members to anticipate, facilitate and participate in staffing within business units
Collaborate with in-house and outside legal team members for immigration and visa matters in assigned business units and own the immigration program for respective client groups
Assist with administration and education of company-wide HR policies, procedures and practices in accordance with stated company objectives and federal and state legal requirements
Maintain and establish increased awareness and understanding of employment law, industry trends, current practices and new developments

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years progressive experience and increasing responsibility in an HR capacity
Strong knowledge and experience of Australian employment law
Self-directed and a quick learner with the ability to achieve results while working under the pressures of shifting priorities in a dynamic and agile environment
Capable of sustaining a positive working environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience working across and in partnership with the various HR disciplines
Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization
A bias for action and the ability to drive outcomes in a matrixed team
Strong work ethic and proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills
Excellent administrative and communication skills are necessary in order to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to build rapport and collaborate across the organization; strong client relationship management
Excellent time management and project management skills
