Responsibilities:
Job Overview:
This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources. The PAGNY HR Generalist functions as an integral part of the CHS Human Resources team, possessing a broad knowledge of HR functions and undertaking a wide range of HR tasks.
Typical Tasks + Responsibilities:
Processing personnel actions from start to finish; serving as the primary HR contact with department heads and supervisors for employee-related issues
Updating and maintaining employee files and records; ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor regulations
Preparing internal job openings and distributing job postings to departments in compliance with collective bargaining agreements
Functioning as the main point of contact for employee inquiries on HR-related topics
Gathering and analyzing data for ad hoc reports requiring HR metrics
Qualifications:
3-5 years of proven HR Generalist experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
Working knowledge of labor laws and issues impacting a unionized workforce
Expert knowledge of MS Office; experience with HRIS systems, preferred
Excellent communication skills
