Casual Position – Rotating roster – 7 days a week
Salary Packaging – up to $9,010 per year
We currently have a casual opportunity for a professional, passionate and highly experienced cleaner to join our Environmental Services team at the Darlinghurst Campus. This job position will be required to assist supervisors as directed, work in a team environment and multi skill across the Darlinghurst Campus consisting of Private & Public Hospital, The Sacred Heart Sanatorium and The St Vincent’s Clinic & Precinct Partners as directed.
The right candidate will be cross trained in Hospital cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control procedure to ensure rooms, public areas and clinical areas are cleaned thoroughly and of a high standards at all times.
Shifts range from:
Daytime (6am, 7:30am and 10:00am start times – Rotational)
Afternoon /evening (varies from 2pm through to 6pm start times)
Please stipulate clearly what shifts you are interested in and your availability – Days, & Evenings.
The skills required are:
Experience in Housekeeping operations in either a Hospital or Hotel environment.
Extremely high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Be reliable, punctual, hardworking and well groomed.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure or unsupervised.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, within the philosophy, mission and values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.
Be able to work a rotational roster with 7 day availability including weekdays, weekend and public holidays, morning and afternoon shifts if required.
Ability to operate polishers and scrubbers beneficial, however not essential.
In accordance to guidelines set by NSW Health, all SVPHS employees are required to have up to date vaccinations before commencement. It is encouraged that you ensure your vaccinations are current ahead of time as you may be requested to provide documentation at interview stage.
Criminal record checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role.
