Job Description

Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Full-Time Health Educator/ Teens P.A.C.T. who will be responsible for developments, adaptation and implementation and coordinator of sex education and pregnancy prevention curriculum within the schools and community organizations; integration of school education and Teens P.A.C.T. services; assistance with providing coordinator and supervision of the Peer Education program.

OB FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate the delivery of age-appropriate, sexual health education curriculum in schools and at community organizations.
Coordination the Peer Education component, including the recruitment, training, supervision and coordination of workshops, rap sessions, outreach and other acitivities for Peer Educators.
Promotion and advocacy of the Teens P.A.C.T. program to the community though participation in health fairs, coalitions, task forces, and advocacy to community and political leaders.
Integration of community education with other Teens P.A.C.T. components (teen lounge, rap sessions, horizon expanding activities, and Teens P.A.C.T. reproductive healthcare services.

Ensures the timely production of the Teens P.A.C.T. newsletter (including layout, editing and ensuring the appropriateness of Peer Educators’ articles, program announcements, etc.).
Submits a monthly calendar and report of activities and statistics to the Senior Health Educator.
Data Entry: updates and cleans Teens P.A.C.T. databases.
Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
Compliance with Employee Health Services.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What We Look For:
B.A. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience working with youth of all ages in a school setting and working with adolescents in the areas of pregnancy prevention, sex-education, sexuality, adolescent development and youth developement.
