About The Team

The mission of the Planning & Reporting team is to be the guardians of the Canva 12 month rolling forecast and all financial reporting & associated processes. As the Canva business grows, there is an increasing need to provide stakeholders in the business with timely, accurate and granular data enabling agile decisions to be made as required.

Reporting to the Planning & Reporting Manager (located in Sydney HQ) this role will assist in the development and maintenance of financial information, analysis and specifically reporting across the business.

The primary responsibility of the FP&A Manager – Reporting will be to provide key support in delivering value and insights, including managing the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycle, other management reporting and business related processes, including Investor reporting, Board reporting, Group reporting, CFO dashboard and spend reporting.

What you’ll do:
Identify, understand, seek opportunities, develop and deliver proactive analytics and reports (via Adaptive Insights) that enables stakeholders to understand their business intelligence, data and reporting requirements, and support better decision making.
Develop compelling content and insights that will be used in presentations for audiences that range from founders/investors to group leads.
Build, maintain, enhance and expand a suite of automated reporting solutions (within Adaptive Insights) for stakeholders within the business.
Create dashboard reporting for executive leaders, preparing insight and visual financial and operational reports across the business.
Investigate and interrogate existing business data to find correlations, merge insights and build datasets for reporting.
Drive the goal of having a central source of truth for all financial reporting data within Canva
Build out a high performing team

What we’re looking for:
Degree in Accounting/Finance with minimum CA/CPA or equivalent, with proven solid experience in a similar role/team
In-depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in Business Reporting delivery
Well demonstrated analysis and data visualisation development with experience in handling and analysing complex, high volume data with excellent attention to detail
Possess outstanding financial analytical skills and capability
The ability to think beyond numbers and combine data with strategy and financial insight
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into compelling narratives
Detail-oriented, well organised and understand the importance of data integrity
