Immediate Start, Hawthorn – VIC

Casual role – Great balance between other commitments like study and family.

We are looking for enthusiastic Food Service Assistants to fill Casual positions at our Hawthorn Facility. L ocally known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care, our facility is a 91 bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7km from Melbourne’s city centre with the added convenience of Camberwell Junction right around the corner.

At St Vincent’s we understand work/life balance is important and there is the flexibility to work across various shifts (mornings, afternoons and nights). Rosters are planned a fortnight in advance but you can set your availability on the Emprevo App to allow your managers to know of your availability to pick up extra shifts when they become available. Don’t forget that as a casual employee you get 25% casual loading to increase your hourly rate and you are eligible for Not for Profit Salary Packaging to increase your take-home pay.

Successful applicants will share a genuine desire to care and assist consumers with a strong person-centred care focus and will need to demonstrate:

Previous experience in a similar role;

Strong customer service focus;

An ability to work within a great friendly supportive team;

Great time management; we cook and serve 5 meals a day so always lots to do!

The ability to work in a fast paced environment (time will fly by!) and do the food preparation, wash–up, serve and deliver the meals to the residents whilst providing excellent customer service.

An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities (preferred);

Current flu vaccination and National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months).
