This position is responsible for filing all Unaccompanied Children Program and/or Administration for Children Services Program documentation for New York City location.
HOURS PER WEEK: Non-Exempt
Regular hours vary
Must be flexible to meet program needs
File all required documentation
Manage and maintain the file room
Responsible for audit checklists
Responsible for tracking signed out UC charts/documentation
High school diploma required
Experience working in a busy human services office- strongly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks – required
Strong skills in Microsoft Office required.
Knowledge of clerical and office procedures
Proofreading and editing skills
Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgment
Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children.
Ability to travel to other agency locations as required
Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, etc.: This involves sitting at a computer for several hours
Lifting of Agency file books – weighing approximately 6-8 lbs. File in them as needed, including sorting paperwork, hole punching, opening and closing of binder rings
Completing paperwork -Such as copying, stapling as needed
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to travel to different locations
Walk up/down stairs as needed
