The Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) is currently recruiting for a Faculty Administration Assistant to join its team.

The Faculty Administration Assistant is an integral part of the faculty’s support team ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors to the faculty. The incumbent in this role will work closely and collaboratively with the team to deliver a high level of client service and administration activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first point of contact on reception for internal and external visitors to the faculty
  • Executive support activities such as; diary management, co-ordinating meetings and expense reconciliation
  • Manage room bookings and ensure the rooms are set up and maintained
  • Provide a high standard of general administration assistance including purchasing; event co-ordination; data entry and general assistance

1.Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with staff within and external to the faculty, as well as uphold a professional and composed manner
2.High level problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage own workload
3.Highly developed ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work flexibly
4.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and a willingness to help others
5.The ability to act with discretion in dealing with sensitive information
6.Highly proficient in the use of MS Office software suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint or a capability and willingness to develop these skills quickly

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $71,774 to $82,110 pa (HEW 5)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis of 10 months
