Full Job Description
As the Executive Assistant to the General Manager within Chief Operating Office, Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM), you will support the General Manager by providing a wide range of professional administrative, operational, project and business support. This role interacts with a wide range of individuals, from senior executives, internal stakeholders and employees requiring exceptional organisational skills and an adaptable interpersonal style.
How will I help?

As the Executive Assistant to the General Manager within Chief Operating Office, Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM), you will support the General Manager by providing a wide range of professional administrative, operational, project and business support. This role interacts with a wide range of individuals, from senior executives, internal stakeholders and employees requiring exceptional organisational skills and an adaptable interpersonal style.

You will be pro-active in your approach to establish and maintain strong networks across the administration community and the broader group including Risk, Technology, and Operations. Assisting the General Manager will be of second nature in preparation for all meetings, effective and thorough management of diary commitments and following up of requests and action items in a timely manner.

You will bring an adaptable approach to all problems or opportunities faced and work cohesively to achieve the desired outcome, continuously ensuring an effective flow of work through the General Managers office.

What do I need?

The successful candidate will bring relevant experience in previous Executive Assistant Positions, specifically for Senior Management. This experience will have derived from roles ideally within either Banking or the wider Financial Services and must be able to bring a strong level of Technical understanding, in order to best understand the domain and be able to hit the ground running with Westpac.

Your organisation, written and verbal skills are second to none and you can bring demonstrated experience across Microsoft Office programs. You enjoy working autonomously, are a forward thinking and planning individual and are able to effectively prioritise competing tasks and issues.

Communication and stakeholder engagement skills are of second nature and you can confidently develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the team, division and wider group.
