The Role

The Executive Assistant, Office of the Commissioner, is a key role that directly supports the Victorian Public Sector Commissioner and the smooth running of the office. The role provides high level support services, accurate advice and information to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, Directors and other senior management in line with expectations and consistent policy and project directions. Responsibilities include effective executive support functions in a fast-paced environment, preparation of reports and correspondence on complex issues, and accurate management of the office’s events diary and meetings while providing quality support to committees and working groups.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in understanding the requirements of a senior executive office within government and proven ability to operate effectively within a confidential work environment. Being proactive and self-driven, you will have sound interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to manage communication for the Commissioner to ensure consistency, probity, professionalism and quality control of outgoing materials and arrange meetings and conferences, including liaison with senior executives and government officials, coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
