We currently have a positions available for Evidence Assessment Officers to view and verify images and data collected from safety cameras around Victoria. The role requires the assessment of images and incident data captured by traffic cameras and, by applying technical guidelines and policies, make a decision as to whether or not the image should be accepted for prosecution.
About You: Impeccable attention to detail Ability to follow a strictly set process from end to end Ability to work autonomously Belief in the value of Victoria’s Road Safety Program Basic Computer operating skills – Windows based Applications Previous experience dealing with high volumes of work within set timeframes Remaining focused over an extended period whilst also maintaining a high standard of work Availability to work 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday

About the Role:
We currently have a positions for Evidence Assessment Officers to view and verify images and data collected from safety cameras around Victoria. The role requires the assessment of images and incident data captured by traffic cameras and, by applying technical guidelines and policies, make a decision as to whether or not the image should be accepted for prosecution.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
Review images captured by traffic cameras for the creation of infringement notices on behalf of Victoria Police
Accurately identify a vehicle from a photograph, and match to description in
Vic Roads database
Ensure the integrity of the chain of evidence is upheld, maintaining confidentiality of the information accessed. Ability to identify a wide range of vehicle makes and models is an advantage in this role

Serco’s Traffic Camera Services (TCS) division operates Victoria’s mobile safety camera program, maintains fixed red light cameras and provides image verification services to the State of Victoria. We have over 250 dedicated staff working to help reduce Victoria’s Road Toll. We currently have part-time opportunities for a Mobile Road Safety Camera Operators to join our TCS team. This role involves supporting Victoria’s mobile safety camera program by setting up and monitoring speed detection equipment.
