Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred applicants will have a background in literacy and numeracy intervention. Applicants should also be skilled in working with students and have the ability to support students who have a range of learning needs. This includes providing a variety of approaches to allow each student to reach their full academic potential. LSOs are required to liaise professionally with students, parents, teachers and other Learning Support Officers.

Competent use of ICT and a strong commitment to utilising learning technologies is essential, as would experience in working in a similar position in a school setting.

A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (NPC) are required, as well as a driver’s licence. Up to date First Aid and Anaphylaxis training would be advantageous.
