The Role

This is an opportunity to be a part of the Council’s expanding and thriving Economic Development team and contribute to the success of the Economic Development and future Investment Attraction strategies.

The Economic Development Project Officer role provides support to business engagement and Investment Attraction activities, with an additional focus on supporting initiatives in circular economy and resource recovery areas.

This role will be required to build strong relationships with business and industry to develop, implement and promote business engagement, investment attraction and business efficiency/sustainability programs.

About you

Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, business, project management, or a related field or lesser formal qualification with substantial experience is essential.

Demonstrated experience working in partnership with multiple public and private stakeholders and skills, experience in the planning, management and delivery of programs and projects and including an overall understanding of Council department functions will be an advantage.
