We currently have an immediate need for a Data Entry/Document Processing Clerk to work from our New Hyde Park offices.

Under the general supervision of the Cancellations Team Lead, this position is responsible for processing cancellations and reinstatement notices as well as billing cancellation endorsements.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following.

Process all cancellation notices for Morstan General Agency (non-payment cancellations, underwriting cancellations, non-renewals, and conditional renewals), not limited to entering notice into appropriate systems and advising Brokers of pending
Type AAGA cancellations not limited to notice of cancellations for non- payment, underwriting cancellations, non-renewals, and conditional renewals, not limited to entering notice into appropriate systems and advising Brokers of pending
Bill cancellation endorsements and submit ACH payments to Accounts
Process reinstatements for non-payment and underwriting

Forward return premium and/or earned premium invoices and endorsements to the appropriate department or
Correspond with Brokers via phone, mail and email to respond to questions, investigate and resolve issues, and follow up on outstanding items not limited to past due payment
Frequently coordinate and correspond with other internal
Ensure all correspondence and requests are documented and attached to the appropriate file in the appropriate systems.
Other administrative responsibilities not limited to operating reception desk switchboard, preparing proof of mailing receipts, and mailing
Required Skills
Minimum education required High School Diploma
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
1 – 2 years experience in a similar position
