About the role
We have an exciting 12-month opportunity to join the Analytics and Data team as the Data Automation Team Leader. The purpose of the role is to lead and drive the Data Automation function in the Analytics and Data Team which sits within Customer Value Management.
The Data Automation team is made up of Campaign Specialists and Analysts who design and deliver data for campaigns for EnergyAustralia’s one Marketing and Regulatory communications through multiple channels including email, direct mail, SMS and outbound telemarketing. This role must balance the need for speed without compromising on quality and as such calls for someone who is highly effective at stakeholder management and is able to communicate changing priorities within a retail landscape.
The Data Automation Team Leader will also provide people management, resource planning, coaching, and people development along with an ability to spot synergies across the broader Data & Analytics team, with our data translators who work on campaign effectiveness and optimisation opportunities.
What we’re looking forTo be successful in this role you must have experience in data engineering, direct marketing, or consulting. You will be structured in your approach, with a commercial mindset and a strong ability in gathering business requirements and providing internal consultancy to improve business outcomes based on an understanding of Data Operations. As a dedicated people leader, you demonstrate an ability to balance the need for speed and quality of data outcomes. Storytelling skills, ability to talk to business stakeholders about technical terms (data and systems) is a key for the success in this role.
You will also need the followingTertiary qualification in technology, business, marketing or related disciplines
Influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
Impressive written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Novice experience using Trello, and Tableau.
Broad understanding of SQL language principles preferred
