The Customer Service business unit is responsible for ensuring high standards of customer service across the organisation, putting the customer at the centre of our services and projects and extends the role of the customer service unit as a centre of excellence.
About the Role
Working in diverse and complex environment, this role interacts with all facets of Local Government to resolve enquiries, educate our customers on Council services and programs and provide outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders. Your friendly personality, adaptability to change and resilient nature will see you thrive in this unique position as you provide an integral link between the community and Council.
Duties
Provide a high-quality response to customer enquiries, requests for service and business transactions across multiple communication channels.
Enhance and promote Council’s public image and the effectiveness of the Customer Service Team by acting as a key link in the relationship between the Council and its customers.
Support the operations of Council departments in accordance with agreed service levels and standards.
Advocate for the customer by assisting in the development, improvement and enhancement of Council processes and services.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this position, you must have relevant experience in a high volume and/or complex customer service role and be comfortable operating in a contact centre environment.
