About Us

Within NSW DPI, the Biosecurity & Food Safety Division is responsible for effective management and risk minimisation of biosecurity threats to NSW as well as the through-chain regulation of food safety. It delivers a risk based approach to policy and compliance, and provides regional engagement and coordination in response to emergency incidents and natural disasters impacting primary industries and the food sector.

About the Role

In your new role as Customer Service Coordinator, you will support the efficient functioning of the Customer Service team and provide high quality front-line customer service for both internal and external customers, to support the Biosecurity and Food Safety and Agriculture divisions. This is a unique role that focuses on delivering a high level of customer service to the beekeeping industry and other DPI customers to create a positive impact.

Key aspects of the role include providing advice and support to beekeepers and other customers, administrative and coordination support to the apiary sites program, and proactively seeking to enhance operations in collaboration with the Customer Service team and the business. The role is hands on and the Coordinator is also part of the customer service team roster.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in providing high quality customer service in a fast paced regulatory environment, project coordination, and using multiple ICT systems. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a people person, with a passion for building partnerships and looking for opportunities to drive program results.
