Full Job Description
Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

We have a 6 month fixed term position available here in the Emergency Department at Austin Health. This position is customer service focused. The position covers day evening nights and also weekends. The role of the Administration officer here in the Emergency Department is the first point of contact for all patients. The administration team supports all of the clinical teams in the Emergency Department which includes our Short Stay Observation Unit, Paediatrics and PAPU. We provide a broader support across the hospital including, inpatient ward admissions, transfers and discharges. The Emergency Department has over 89,000 presentations a year, making it one of Victoria’s busiest Emergency Departments.
