The Regulatory Compliance team is a second line of defence function that provides regulatory advice, assurance and reporting for EnergyAustralia. The team also manages the engagement between external regulators and the business in relation to compliance matters.
About the Role
As the Compliance Control Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Leader Strategy and Program Delivery to design, test, and strengthen compliance controls across all business units at EnergyAustralia. Day to day responsibilities would includeBuilding effective relationships with key stakeholders to mitigate risk and embed a compliance culture within the business
Test key compliance controls and provide the business with recommendations for improvement
Deliver regular reporting of compliance assurance & control testing status and results
Drive continuous improvement for compliance risk and control methodologies, capabilities and reporting
What we’re looking forTo be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications with strong analytic skills to assess the various parts of a problem and their potential solution. Demonstrated experience in a compliance risk role gained from an audit or controls environment, preferably from a highly complex and customer-centric organisation is essential to make you stand out.
You must also have a detailed understanding of risk frameworks, compliance control, testing and comfortable facilitating audit or assurance review meetings. In addition to these technical and analytical skills, you will be a natural collaborator with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to question the norm and think ‘outside the square for solutions. This will enable you to leverage your risk and control knowledge and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
