Transurban has an exciting and newly created opportunity for a Company Secretariat Administrator to join the NSW business.
Offering support to the Company Secretary, the Board Coordinator, the Board, the General Counsel and on occasion the wider Legal team , you will ensure everything runs smoothly so that they can focus on the delivery of key initiatives.

The impact you’ll have
Using discretion and integrity, you will work with highly confidential information, making sure the right things get to the right people, at the right time
Playing a pivotal role in managing certain Board processes, you’ll support the team in coordinating and scheduling meetings and events, including Board and Committee meetings, manage diaries and planners, book meeting rooms and catering down to the finest detail and ensure stakeholders are fully prepared and everything runs like clockwork
Providing assistance with procurement and accounting functions, you’ll prepare purchase orders, process invoices and manage expense claims, ensuring quality and version control and prompt payment including in relation to ASIC lodgements and fees
You will assist in compiling and sending Board/Committee papers and templates for the Board together with correspondence
You will ensure all entity/corporate/share and trust register records are properly maintained and accessible in accordance with legislative requirements
Managing competing priorities, you’ll have strong support systems and procedures that enable the tracking and management of issues, projects and reports
You will draw on your coordination and administration experience to identify ways to review and enhance systems and procedures
The talents you’ll bring
You’ll have previous experience working within a Company Secretariat team and an understanding of governance principles
Experience in dealing with the corporate regulator and familiarity with company register software and electronic Board portals (Board Vantage preferred) is highly regarded
Ideally you will have aspirations to develop your Company Secretarial skill set and grow into the role in the future
You’ll possess excellent ASIC and compliance experience and a good degree of initiative
Large corporate environments are something that you’re used to, so you will know how to keep things, and people, organised
Your high level of integrity, confidence and professionalism will hold you in good stead when communicating with stakeholders, be that with all parts of the Transurban business or a variety of external parties
You will be proactive in the way you work by anticipating actions or information that may be required. You will ask the right questions and be able to make logical decisions
Juggling multiple priorities at once is your niche, you do this with ease and know how to ensure everyone has everything they need, and on time
Calm under pressure, you demonstrate initiative with a confident and professional manner, and just get stuff done!
