Sydney Breast Clinic is seeking a permanent part-time Clinical Assistant for a Casual position

Our multidisciplinary medical specialist team consisting of clinical consultants including breast physicians, radiologists and pathologists, have a collaborative approach to our patients’ care. The medical team work together with radiographers and sonographers to assess results and make a diagnosis.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Assistant for a Casual role, who will support the team with providing our patients with a high level of care and customer service.


Ensure at all times the highest level of customer service via optimal communication, presentation and professional expertise.
Recognise and uphold the rights of all patients and candidates accessing services, including maintaining cultural sensitivity.
Comply with privacy and confidentiality principles to all work practices including the Fullerton Health Australia policies and procedures.
Liaising with referring doctors regarding patient referral requirements
Explaining examination requirements at each appropriate stage to ensure patient cooperation and alleviate fears and facilitate the consent process.
Observation of patient status for physical and emotional well-being
Liaising with appropriate clinic employees regarding patient progress along the diagnostic pathway
Keeping patients informed on examination and waiting time changes as appropriate
Managing patient concerns, and questions
Providing information to patients on support services where relevant
Assisting clinical staff where ever possible to reduce patient waiting times
Organising appointments for additional procedures.
Ensure follow up of results
Ensure infection control procedures are being adhered to and implemented at all times
Maintaining rooms and equipment according to clinic policy and procedure

Current Australian drivers licence
Well-presented and exceptional interpersonal abilities
Previous experience working in a medical environment would be highly regarded
Ability to multi-task, time manage and work effectively in a busy environment.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sensitivity and consistency in managing concerns of a sensitive and confidential nature.
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to interact and work in a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict
Intermediates computer abilities
