About the role

Responsible for planning and executing the short- and medium-term shipment execution plans for our commodities; this role involves contract and shipment administration with correct information and coordination with our freight suppliers. You will evaluate the distribution and transportation operations, data and facilities to identify the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for our commodities and track shipments through the end to end process, reviewing any non-compliance issues against freight contract requirements.

In this highly collaborative role, you will consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure commodities are delivered in full, on time and track carrier performance. With strong administration skills you will maintain accurate sales and inventory records and assist in reconciliation and payment queries whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.

With a proactive approach you identify opportunities to reduce cost and gain maximum benefit for the business whilst building strong relationships with bulk handlers, customers and freight providers.

Other Key Accountabilities

Identify and engage most appropriate carrier for execution of weekly orders
Liaise with Bulk Handlers, carriers and customers to ensure smooth and efficient execution of contracts
Contract and Movement Order reconciliation
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Bulk handlers, carriers and customers
Follow up on delivery progress of individual orders, amending plans where necessary, to ensure high DIFOT and customer service levels.


Skills & Experience

Operational experience of logistics ideally in an agribusiness environment
Knowledge of logistics industry and legislation
Proficient in MS packages with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Strong attention to detail with ability to work with conflicting priorities and tasks
