Est. 1991. Jean-Georges’ first restaurant, and named after his childhood nickname that his mother would call him, has recently reopened in a duplex townhouse on the Upper East Side, creating a modern and fresh design, yet still maintaining an understated, warm and friendly atmosphere. JoJo is a simple and casual neighborhood friendly restaurant serving a farm to table menu with mostly organic and local ingredients.
The individual ideally possesses the following qualities:
A passion for beverage, wine and service
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant
A beverage background
A strong sense of urgency
Superior communication skills (both written and spoken)
Knowledge of tableside etiquette
The ability to commit to 2 years or more in a position
A desire for growth
Have long term goals in the service industry
A competitive spirit and a team-player attitude
A focus on hospitality and guest rapport alongside development of a regular clientele
A rigorous attention to detail
An enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor
This position requires FULL AVAILABILITY- daytime hours, evening hours and weekends.
