Role and Responsibilities

Denis The Menace is a busy café, located in the heart of Cremorne.

As a Barista/Front of house all rounder, you will step into a fun, busy, modern café.

We are a business with a family culture, that values and supports dedicated and enthusiastic staff members.

Applicants must have a strong work ethic, passion for serving great food and a personality to contribute to the positive atmosphere and progressive direction of the business.

The successful applicants experience and attributes will include;

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience as a waiter within a fast-paced, café or restaurant environment
  • Min of 2 years experience in specialty coffee in Melbourne. You know how to make alternative brews – such as batch brew, cold brew, etc
  • Comfortable working solo on the machine while keeping a tidy workstation. Making sure that all equipment is properly maintained at all times
  • High volume experience in being able to work on multiple orders at once
  • Good at cash handling and multi tasking in general
  • Outgoing personality and really strong work ethic
  • Ensure proper hygienic storage methods are utilized to preserve quality
  • Manage work station stock (i.e – milk, takeaway coffee cups, lids, etc)
  • All cleaning requirements (i.e – sweeping, mopping, rubbish removal)
  • Have a strong understanding of food safety protocols and procedures
  • Have a strong sense of pride and passion for hospitality
  • Have a desire to continue to learn, grow, develop and lead a team
  • Good personal presentation

Qualifications and Education Requirements

You are an experienced barista/café all rounder with minimum 3 years experience under your belt.

You have previous experience working in a fast-paced, high volume café.

You are a great communicator, with a willingness to learn, develop and grow in a team environment.

Hours

Full-Time and Part-Time Position on a rotating roster (Rotating weekend availability is essential)

Salary: From $25.00 per month
