Georges River Council is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Administration Officer to join our dynamic and busy Engineering and Operations team at Carlton depot.
Permanent full time – 70 hours per fortnight
Salary from $60,000 – $70,000 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation

Deliver innovative services that promote and support our community.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Engineering Operations team, in order to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. This involves but is not limited to:
Provide prompt, efficient and accurate administrative services and outcomes for the Engineering Operations team.
Ensure matters of confidentiality or sensitivity are handled in an appropriate and timely matter.
Correctly prioritise, manage and undertake day-to-day work in a satisfactory manner
Utilise office business equipment to undertake filing, photocopying, sorting, correspondence, mailing, binding, and any other duties as directed.
Produce material for Council’s website and communications team to highlight the work that Engineering Operations does.
Provide support for various functions, events, tasks and endeavours as and when required.
Process Service Requests, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders as directed by Team Leaders and Coordinators.
Qualifications, Certificates & Licences
TAFE qualifications in business administration, local government, desktop publishing or equivalent experience.
Class C Drivers Licence
Experience providing administrative support
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated IT literacy
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work as a team and independently
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to issues which are at times of a sensitive nature
Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Excellent written and oral communication skills
