The Juries Act 2000 provides for the operation and administration of a system of trial by jury that equitably spreads the obligation of jury service amongst the community and makes juries more representative of the community. Juries Victoria (JV) is responsible for ensuring Victorian citizens, broadly representative of the community, are eligible and available to serve as jurors in Supreme and County Court trials.
JV is looking for someone with energy and imagination, who approaches his/her work with passion and a focus on service excellence.
Reporting directly to the Juries Commissioner and working in a small office, the Administration Officer is a key link between JV’s legislative and corporate obligations. You will support the Juries Commissioner in all aspects of office operations, including contract and account management, internal communications and compliance.
To be successful in this role, you can demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with JV stakeholders, problem solve and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic operational environment.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise your work and provide confident and informed advice.
