Clerical Associate Level 3 pt – USA Job Vacancy
Perform all clerical duties related to the Administrative Law Division. The part-time clerical associate will also perform general clerical tasks, similar to those outlined below, to support the work of the Administrative Law Division.
Performs detail-oriented clerical work in administrative and operational areas by processing, recording, checking, and maintaining records, furnishing information, corresponding with agencies, and preparing reports.
Should be familiar with routine data processing functions using Filesite and LawManager;
Performs typing and word processing assignments;
Monitors case status updates on Court Alert or other case tracking programs;
Receives and transmits telephone and email communications as needed;
Scans pleadings and other important documents and saves into document management systems;
Assists in preparing agency files, such as pension records for use by attorneys;
Coordinates receipt and service of documents with client agencies;
Assists in archiving cases and maintaining files in Division’s file room; and
Performs special projects for division attorneys as requested.
Minimum Qual Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
