Key Purpose of Role
Seeking an accounting major interested in gaining a general understanding of the Accounts Payable function, and experience with the company’s financial reporting system.
The Key Responsibilities are:
Input / Enter freight invoices for payment (approximately 250 – 300 per week).
Verify AP master file details, complete update requests, compile documents for support
Assist AP Team with weekly payment proposal documents, invoice review / input and other duties.
Assist Team with Cash Applications and input, if needed for Vacation and Holiday coverage.
Assist financial review and analysis for monthly / quarterly / annual close.
File and Scan, monthly journal entries, AP Invoices, bank wire paperwork.
Ad-hoc spreadsheet analysis
Cross train for vacation and holiday coverage
Prepare files for storage.
High School Diploma or GED
Computer software experience: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Data Entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention
Able to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to work independently or as a team member
General Math Skills
Business Application and Account Courses.
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
The job requires sitting a desk in cubicle, paperwork and working on computer.
